Dr. Siepmann has worked at small intellectual property boutique law firms, as well as large national law firms. While Tom has experience in several different fields, including medical diagnostics, therapeutics, and biologics, he also has a strong background in chemistry. Tom holds an undergraduate degree and doctorate degree in biochemistry. His biochemistry undergraduate degree is an American Chemical Society (ACS) certified chemistry degree that included coursework in organic, analytical, and physical chemistry (he was also a teaching assistant in the Dept. of Chemistry as an undergraduate). As a post-doctoral fellow, Tom studied organic synthetic chemistry employing traditional chemical analyses including NMR, MS, and HPLC techniques.
Practice Areas: preparation and prosecution of patent applications, infringement clearance and patent validity opinions and patent licensing.
